Karol Wojtyla's Poetry
The Church, Gospel

Truth does not pour oil on the wounds so as to inflame them,
nor does it sit one on a donkey to be led through the streets –
truth must hurt and disappear.
The structures in the brain tighten when something leans like a building
Built of the people – everyone thinks how to straighten
not the frontage, but the deep ground,
which resists as if a boat against the waves.

The Church, Gospel
