JP2 Love - i.e. John Paul II in multimedia

'The Pope's manuscripts which have never been published before were made available by the Vatican and included in the album of Karol Wojtyla's poetry. It was possible thanks to the efforts of prelate Paweł Ptasznik, the Head of the Polish Section of the Vatican Secretariat of State', Judyta Papp, the author and the producer of the project told the Polish Press Agency.
Prelate Ptasznik also selected Wojtyla's poems which, together with photographs from movies 'Karol, A Man Who Became Pope' and 'Testimony' (taken by Judyta Papp), as well as with photos of the Pope's personal belongings, create an original publication with a unique and intimate character.
'It was difficult not to be moved, when I was to make photographic reproductions of such personal things (mementos after John Paul II) as the breviary, rosary, watch, cane or 'Credo' with a bark bookmark', said Papp. She also added, 'those precious mementos now belong to Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz, who gave me his permission to take photos of them.'
An important and integral part of the publication are reflections made by world authorities, leaders of nations, clergymen and representatives of various religions. Some of these reflections are very personal.
Prof. Zbigniew Brzezinski, who was invited to participate in the JP2 Love project said, 'For me, Pope John Paul II is the first true spiritual and religious leader on a global scale in the history of mankind. Until now, all religious leaders appealed to a limited audience both in terms of theology and geography. John Paul II overcame these restraints not only by the effective and skillful use of the mass media, but also by the power of his personality and his profound spirituality.'
According to the President of Israel, Shimon Peres, who also accepted the invitation to make a statement as a part of the project, the Pope's mission was to replace war with peace, hate with love, and to promote the spirit of tolerance and mutual respect. He said, '(...) A line from one of his poems became to me the essence of him: 'Love has solved it all/ explained everything.' He also added, 'How true those words are.'
Nelson Mandela, the former president of the Republic of South Africa, a Nobel prize winner, emphasized in his statement that John Paul II 'was the moral guide in times when progress in science and technology did not go hand in hand with progress in compassion and common care.'
Alwaleed bin Tatal, a Saudi Prince, is also among those who were invited to share their reflections on the pontificate. 'Our guiding principle is to have the people of great authority, representatives of different religions speak about the Pope from Poland as a part of the project,' the author of the project said. She also added, 'We have sent out many invitations, and we are still awaiting responses from leaders of states and clergymen from Islamic countries.'
The concept of the project is complemented by jp2love.com and jp2love.pl websites, which will make John Paul II's poetry available together with photographs, multimedia files and comments of well-known people and the Pope's friends. 'As a part of the website we will also publish interviews with famous and influential people. The topic of the discussions will not only be John Paul II's teachings, but also ethics in many spheres of life, for example, in business, politics, and management,' says Judyta Papp.
The JP2 project includes two websites, being currently under construction: jp2love.com and jp2love.pl. The project is also presented on Facebook.
'Users of the website, apart from having access to various applications, will be able to share their observations and impressions thanks to the content included on the website, for example, through the system of comments on the forum. We're also planning a promotion of John Paul II's poetry and publications by sending off short messages - quotes of the day ,' the author explains.
